Dr. B. Buchanan, PhD has her license as a clinical psychologist with specializations in clinical psychology and neuropsychology. She works with a variety of ages from children to geriatric by providing psychotherapy, neuropsychological testing, and rehabilitation services. She earned her bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas, a master's degree in Theology at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Her pre-doctoral practicum and internships were in neuropsychological private practices in McKinney and Lewisville, Texas. Her postdoctoral training was completed in Rockwall, Texas providing various services ranging such as private psychotherapy and neuropsychological testing, disability diagnostic and testing evaluations, and psychotherapy and rehabilitation services in nursing homes with her primary supervisor, Dr. Stephen Chock. She has supervised and trained many master-level interns and pre-doctoral-practicum/intern students. She has lead staff training for area social workers, LPCs, and nursing home staff. She conducts testing regarding ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism spectrum disorders, TBIs, dementia/neurocognitive disorders, etc. She is credentialed at Hunt Regional Medical Center, servicing the entire hospital as well as all patients on the acute rehabilitation floor. She had two private offices in Greenville and Rockwall, Texas; however, since the COVID pandemic, she now has downsized to the single private office in Rockwall, Texas.
Dr. Buchanan is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana and loves LSU football. She also loves the Dallas Mavericks and anything true crime. She is a single mother of three beautiful children. She has lived in the Dallas area for the past 18 years, and she currently resides in Rockwall.
Carrie Murdick, MS, CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
Carrie Murdick, MS, CCC-SLP has been a speech-language pathologist for over 20 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in 1996 and master’s degree in 1999 in speech-language pathology from Central Missouri State University. She also completed some of her graduate work at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Carrie believes strongly that learning is a lifelong process and dedicates herself to continuing education and learning the latest evidence-based treatments. Due to this philosophy, Carrie has been granted two different Awards for Continuing Education (ACE) which is a formal recognition by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
